It was the end of my junior year in college and my dream of playing college football was dying fast. I needed to pack on some serious muscle if I wanted to try and walk on the team. I was a good athlete in high school and played the three major sports; football, basketball, and baseball. But football was my passion. There was nothing I loved more than hearing the collision of the pads and the cracking of the helmets upon impact. My only problem was that my metabolism is so darn fast that it’s almost impossible for me to gain weight, or so I thought.
I wanted to try and walk on the team and as I said earlier I needed to gain some quality muscle mass so that I wouldn’t get pushed around. I met with the coach and he handed me over to one of the team trainers. I told her that I needed to pack on muscle and fast. She recommended that I pick up some protein called Sythna-6 by BSN. She said it was good for hard gainers like me because the different protein in it is released over time so your body is fed amino acids for up to seven hours after you take it.
I was pretty skeptical because I had used other protein powders before so I didn’t think this Syntha-6 would do much for me. I started asking guys around the gym if they had heard of BSN Syntha-6 and it turns out that many of them were taking it. They said it was a great protein to take at night time and throughout the day to keep your body in a state of anabolism. With all of the good reports I was hearing my level of hope seemed raised.
I went home and was prepared to mix up my first glass. I was expecting a nasty taste because usually the best working proteins taste like a dirty gym sock. Boy was I wrong! Syntha-6 tasted awesome! In fact it tasted so good I had another serving right after. It tasted just like a milk shake! I know that all proteins say that but this is true. Take my word for it. It was easily the best protein shake I had ever had hands down.
Over the course of the next few months I hit the gym hard and even started working out with some of the guys from the football team. They all wanted to see me make the team just because they say how hard I was working. I was using BSN Syntha-6 about three to four times per day because I was hitting the iron so much. I noticed my body was really filling out and I never got hungry. Taking it at night seemed to really help me with my gains because my body was still being fed the essential amino acids during the night instead of starving.
It came the day of tryouts and I had put on a total of 22 pounds of solid muscle. I felt strong and fast. The weight I had gained was not fat so I didn’t lose any endurance or mobility.
