When I shop for proteins, I look for great value. Some great proteins come in only smaller containers that last maybe 2 weeks to a month if you’re taking it irregularly. I look for something to last me months, because with a busy lifestyle and training schedule, the last thing I want to worry about is whether or not I have enough supplement at home.

American Whey protein doesn’t look flashy in its packaging, but what is inside is all that matters. Finding out that American Whey protein is whey protein isolate, compared to the run of the mill products being a combination blend largely built upon whey concentrate, gave me hope that maybe this protein would be a little different in mixing. American Whey Protein is a little too light for those with fast metabolisms
November 23rd, 2009I took American Whey Protein for a little while under the recommendation of a friend who claimed it was the hottest thing since sliced bread. Unfortunately, my friend’s not one to pay attention to detail, and when things such as a very high metabolism come into play, products like American Whey Protein aren’t very good at all. The majority of the product is nothing but protein, which is great for most people. For those of us who burn way more than we can normally eat, not so much.

American Whey Protein: Great choice with a meal
November 22nd, 2009I’ve been big into performance and fitness for many years. Nutrition has always been part of that, and it has been difficult to find a protein supplement to fit my needs while excluding a bunch of the filler that I’m not looking for. I tend to take my protein shakes with real food, giving me quality vitamins and other nutrients, and a high protein supplement to aid in reaching my protein intake goals. Where most other proteins have higher amounts of cholesterol, fat and carbohydrates, American Whey protein does a great job of eliminating everything else that I’m not looking for, and giving me plenty of what I want.

American Whey Protein mixes clean and won’t upset your stomach
November 22nd, 2009American Whey protein ended up being the first protein I chose when I decided to get into a workout program. I was told protein was absolutely essential when doing exercise because your muscles can’t repair themselves without the basic nutrition but that after working out, muscle tissue is very sensitive to anything you eat. Seeing as I am one of those who has problems eating meals after a workout because they just don’t sit well in my stomach, I was skeptical taking a protein powder. I was under the assumption it would do much of the same.

American Whey Protein is better refined than many other low calorie products
November 22nd, 2009I started to use American Whey Protein during the season when my training shifted from more exhausting sessions to the current maintenance phase. My older proteins were higher in calories for my really stressful training leading up to the season, so when the extra calories weren’t needed, American Whey Protein looked like a good alternative. All I needed was a good protein supplement with little fat and carbs to take with a meal and maybe a few other times of the day if I wasn’t getting much into my diet that day.
