Oh Yeah Wafers, ISS

At the company I work at we’ve decided to enter into the weight loss challenge as an entire department. When you work in accounting as I do there’s not a lot of action and you spend the entire day pouring over spreadsheets and financial statements at your desk. For me, and most of my colleagues, this type of work is mentally rewarding and challenging but physically it has lead to a disaster.

It seems like every other day someone is bringing in bagels and cream cheese, doughnuts, breakfast sandwiches, and any other unhealthy food you can think of. As a department we were all about 35 pounds overweight. I was at the upper end of the scale and needed to lose 60. My downfall was fast food. I could live on burgers, fries, candy and pizza for the rest of my life and be content.

Anyway, my co-worker Lucas’ brother in law is a personal trainer so we brought him in one afternoon to give us a crash course in nutrition and training. He said that diet was just as important as exercise in terms of weight loss. He brought in some samples of nutritional supplements that he thought we would like and we gave them a try.

The assortment of protein bars and shakes were pretty disgusting for the most part. One supplement I did like was the Oh Yeah Wafers by ISS. These protein bars weren’t your typical cardboard bars. They tasted more like a Twix bar because of the light crispy wafers buried in chocolate and crème. I was feeling more motivated because I knew if I had an ample supply of Oh Yeah Wafers I just might be able to give this contest a shot.

The trainer said we needed to eat five to six small meals a day in order to increase our metabolism and lose weight. Each one of the delicious ISS Oh Yeah Wafers was fortified with 210 calories, 14 grams of protein, 8 grams of carbs, and just 13 grams of fat. All of which were excellent numbers according to the trainer.

I left with a big supply in hand ready to shed all the excess poundage I had put on while sitting at my desk over the past 7 years. I looked forward to eating my ISS Oh Yeah Wafers at least two times a day as a meal or snack. They kept me feeling full so I didn’t feel the urge to cheat on my diet.

As the weeks went by our team was gaining momentum and we were eating Oh Yeah Wafers like they were going out of style. I had lost 30 pounds and was feeling like a champ! Each week we would weigh in as a team and our team was in second place with four weeks to go. The winning team would receive year-long memberships at a health club and the individual winner would take home a 5-day Mexican cruise.

At the last weigh in our team came in a close second and I won the individual award! I could not have done it without the Oh Yeah Wafers to help keep me sane.
