I just finished my Muscle Milk Powder tub by Cytosport and had to let the world in on my experience. I am thoroughly impressed with the results and excited to share the benefits I have received. I had heard of Muscle Milk from the people I work out with at the gym, but focused mainly on the rumor that it was made from components of breast milk. Boy was I wrong and am now kicking myself for not trying this protein supplement sooner.
Muscle Milk Powder comes in a wide variety of flavors like chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, mocha joe, root beer, and even banana cream. I used to love banana cream pie, so that is the flavor I chose. Upon opening the lid, I was taken aback by the delicious smell. The shake tastes like you added a fresh banana to the powder upon blending. This is great tasting flavor and I have heard that the strawberry and root beer are very good as well. I made my shakes with milk, but if you are lactose intolerant, soy milk is a great option. I have made shakes with vanilla soy milk for a little extra protein and have found them to be great tasting. I think mixing the banana cream Muscle Milk Powder with a cup of vanilla soy milk and water would be a delicious way to enjoy the shake. This is the best mixing protein I have every used.
Some of the results I noticed throughout and after finishing my tub of Muscle Milk Powder was muscle growth and repair. Cytosport offers EvoPro, a unique formula of proteins, peptides, and amino acids that are designed to replicate a lot of the same benefits of mother’s breast milk. I like taking Muscle Milk Powder as one of my post-workout protein drinks. Another benefit I noticed right away was efficient energy production. My body’s fat metabolism has been enhanced since taking this supplement and I notice the difference. I feel like a fat burning machine. This is difficult to explain, but for those of you who know what I am talking about, just know. You can tell when your body feels like it is burning energy when you are just sitting at your desk. This is feeling that occurs outside the gym.
Don’t be alarmed by the fat content, it is there for a reason. In just two scoops of powder, there is 348 calories, 12 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of dietary fiber, 32 grams of protein, and 18 grams of total fat (8 grams of saturated fat). The fat content is intended to make Muscle Milk Powder the precise formula that it is. If you examine the fat breakdown on the back of each packet, you will find that most of the fat is medium chain triglycerides or MCT. MCT has lower calorie content and is more rapidly absorbed into your system and burned as energy. MCT is also known to increase the burning of calories. To me, that is a great formulation.
