The first tub I bought of American Whey protein was the flavor Double Dutch Chocolate Supreme. (Sounds amazing, even for a protein powder, right?) Allow me to say… Do not let the appearance or packaging of this product fool you. It may look basic and plain, but what’s inside is far from it. The first thing I noticed after opening the tub, as I’ve opened quite a few tubs of protein in my life being the gym junkie that I am, is that there were hardly any clumps whatsoever. It actually stayed like this for as long as it stayed in my cupboard, too. (more…)

American Whey Protein: Overall, Excellent
Saturday, December 19th, 2009American Whey Protein: Great for Women Looking to Tone
Friday, December 18th, 2009Granted, I’m no body builder. In fact, I’m a woman in her twenties. My goal in purchasing my very first tub of protein powder was to gain a little muscle and help tone my body. The first tub I purchased was 3lb American Whey Protein in the chocolate flavor. This is also the very first protein powder I ever tried. I have to admit, the first thing I was worried about was taste. (more…)
American Whey Protein: Really Get Your Bang for the Buck
Thursday, December 17th, 2009Granted, I didn’t purchase my 10lb tub of American Whey Protein online and receive a special deal. I bought it in-store and paid full price, however, I still found that the $60 I spent was well worth it for the product I got. Making judgments on several different levels such as mixability and drinkability, this protein powder really has it all, or at least it does for me. I drink, usually, three shakes per day to get my required protein fill, so that means I’m drinking it quite often. (more…)
American Whey Protein: Can’t Go Wrong with the Ingredients
Wednesday, December 16th, 2009For a while, I was getting really tired of picking up protein powder jugs and checking the labels to see ingredients like fillers and extra fat, even sweeteners that made my pancreas want to roll up in a ball and shrivel away (high fructose corn syrup). However, that is until I turned around a can of American Whey Protein and was more than pleasantly surprised by what I read: 100 percent cold-filtered isolate, all natural flavors, NATURAL sweetener fructose, ion exchanged whey and a digestive enzyme blend containing bromelin, papain, protease and peptizyme. (more…)
American Whey Protein: Love the No Clumps When I Mix
Tuesday, December 15th, 2009One of the worst things about protein shakes, to me, is how most just do not mix with water or milk, whatever liquid you prefer to mix with. They almost always leave those floating chunks of nasty, powdery protein at the bottom or even worse, all throughout the drink. When one of those chunks gets stuck in your teeth or you accidentally chew on one, it basically makes drinking the shake a total drudgery, and that’s not where I want to be when I’m trying to get my extra protein in for the day, especially when I’m using it as a meal replacement. (more…)
American Whey Protein: Taste Test Passed with Flying Colors
Monday, December 14th, 2009I’ve tried my fair share of protein powders out there, and American Whey Protein is among the best as far as taste is concerned. I was actually referred by a friend to try the product, so I went out and bought a 10lb tub. I’m about to go out and buy my second, if that says anything. (more…)
American Whey Protein: great for lactose intolerance
Sunday, December 13th, 2009Whey proteins in general have made my gut pretty uncomfortable, especially with bloating, for as long as I could remember. I was under the impression that all proteins were the same and it didn’t matter. After looking into it a little more and talking to a few of my friends, I came to find that there are some proteins, like American Whey Protein, which is lactose free. (more…)
When taste matters, pick American Whey Protein
Saturday, December 12th, 2009American Whey Protein was a lucky choice for me to find when I was looking for a new protein that didn’t come with that powerful aftertaste or chalky consistency. It attracted my attention with its low calorie, high protein blend and that it is all whey isolate. (more…)
Avid supporter of American Whey Protein
Friday, December 11th, 2009When I find something I like, I stick with it. I’m a creature of habit, as my friends say. I take all the same supplements I’ve used for a long time and I keep a pretty structured life. American Whey protein was a new addition recently, and I will say that it has given me a little peak at life outside of the box. (more…)
American Whey Protein: the clean and effective protein
Thursday, December 10th, 2009I’ve never understood why companies pump out proteins that have bad taste, high cholesterol, tons of lactose and fat. We get plenty of that in our regular diet and the thought of having extra of it supplemented in just boggles my mind. (more…)
